Delphine was not the original name of this small, charming salon boat. Previously she was called Sophie and Caramba. Drawings of the maritime museum show that the Caramba was built in 1915 by the Stofberg shipyard in Mijdrecht. The owner Dr Teupken from The Hague was a striking personality with many connections in the Royal World. For a long time Dr Teupken was chairman of the Dutch Motorboat Club.
